VISIBLE & INVISIBLE: ARTIST TALK
Join us Wednesday, October 14, 2026 for an artist talk featuring Cameron Anderson and special guest, John Hendrix!
Visible & Invisible, explores the beginning article of the Nicene creed through the work of artist Cameron Anderson. The assemblages, prints, and sculptures in this exhibition form a minimalist and found-object meditation on home, longing, and making.
Cameron Anderson is an artist and writer based in Madison, WI. who currently serves as the Distinguished Fellow for the Arts at the Lumen Center sponsored by the SL Brown Foundation. He is the author of The Faithful Artist: A Vision for Evangelicalism and the Arts (2016) and co-editor of God in the Modern Wing: Viewing Art with Eyes of Faith (2021). During the first half of the talk, Cam will be sharing about his work as an artist, and specifically about the work in the exhibition.
For the second half of the talk Cam will be joined in conversation by John Hendrix. Hendrix is an Eisner nominated, New York Times bestselling illustrator and author, in addition to being the Kenneth E. Hudson Professor of Art and the founding chair of the MFA in Illustration and Visual Culture program at the Sam Fox School of Design and Visual Arts at Washington University.
Doors open at 6pm, with time to see the exhibition and enjoy some refreshments! The talk begins at 6:30, followed by time for questions. The gallery will stay open until 8:30pm for anyone wanting to get a last glimpse of the show! To register, please click the link below.
